For optimal performance and a snug fit, we recommend replacing your headband regularly. And remember, all riding hats should be replaced every 3–5 years. Why?

Many Charles Owen and EQx helmets feature a fully removable headband, which are washable and replaceable.

Designed for a precise fit, the liner attaches securely using premium hook-and-loop fastenings, ensuring comfort with no pressure points.

Important: Replacing your headband does not extend the protection offered by your helmet. It’s essential that you replace your riding helmet after five years.

Different types of headbands are used in different helmet models, so be sure to purchase the correct one. Only helmets that originally came with a removable headband are compatible with a replacement.

Cup headband

Allows for precise sizing and a customized fit. Available in multiple sizes, it provides room for growth or accommodates different hairstyles inside the helmet.

Drape headband

The drape liner does not change the size of the helmet. It is designed to provide a sleek, traditional look while still offering the benefits of being able to wash and replace your helmet liner.

The headband is fitted to the upper edge of the helmet’s interior so that it doesn’t add any extra bulk.
